Out of the ashes…. Hinatea II was lost in the Lahaina fire in the summer of ’23. While Lahaina is being reconstructed – a process that is expected to take years – Hinatea III will be operating out of Ma’alaea Harbor.
Hinatea III (pronounced “hee-na-tay-ah”) is a 34′ Blackfin. She was drydocked in November 2023 and now joins a handful of professional sport fishing boats that continue to operate on Maui.
Commonly caught species include mahi mahi (dorado), ono (wahoo), ahi (yellowfin, big eye, skipjack) and marlin and other billfish. Hinatea’s very experienced and friendly crew look forward to putting you on the fish! The crew, combined with the latest fish-finding “toys” and tournament quality equipment make the Hinatea III a logical choice for sportfishing enthusiasts.
